Browser problems

Hi all,

We are running SBC Yahoo DSL on our Dell Dimension desktop. Until the last ten days, when you opened a new browser window, or clicked on a hyperlink that opened a new browser window, another Yahoo browser window would open. Now, however, when we open a new browser window, an Internet Explorer window opens.

I was on the phone with tech support from SBC Yahoo DSL last night for an hour, and we couldn't fix the problem, even by uninstalling and reinstalling the Yahoo browser.

Has anyone else had this problem? I assume that some form of nasty spyware is forcing the computer to open up any new browser windows in Internet Explorer, but I have repeatedly run Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy, and it hasn't fixed the problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Uninstall Internet Explorer.

Sounds like a case of "Let IE be Default Browser" kinda deal. Check IE --> Tools --> Options --> Advanced

Unfortunately, that wasn't it. SBC Yahoo is checked as my default browser. IE is unchecked.
