Btx powersupply

Do I Need a Btx powersupply to work with a Btx motherboard. I am fixing a old dell

I think you do. BTX doesnt have ATX connectors. You have to match your motherboard type ((m)ATX, BTX, ITX, etc) to your PSU type (ATX, BTX, ITX). I dont think they are inter-compatible.

Pretty sure that dell uses a proprietary connector or pinout in their btx layout, pretty sure there are third party adapters or power supplies made specifically for that application

Plug the model of the PSU into eBay and buy one off there.

The fact that they used BTX at all is a reason to hate. I hate those old BTX machines.

Especially the slimline desktops. I hate working on those, no room to work.
