Budget case for a newbie

Hi Wildduck, personally, the first case, the one on Newegg, looks to be a much nicer case.

Generally, if a case that cheap comes with a PSU (The one on tigerdirect), it's not going to be a very quality unit and you'll want to replace it anyways.

The Newegg case, besides having a Toms Hardware award (Which is actually a nice indication of quality), has a nice black interior, some cable management features, vibration isolating hard-drive rack, a tool-less mounting system for your optical drives, and even comes with a 120mm exhaust fan.

I'd say go for it - it actually appears to be quite a nice deal! Let us know how it goes ;)

this might be a good combo for you as well to start with

if you like the look on the newegg one then you have your case with a decent PSU and you almost 1/4 of the way there.

the one Sslagle is suggestion is mostly for somebody that is getting into gaming as that is a great price for that case. You honestly wouldnt go wrong with that case either.

The combo I linked to you gives you the case you wanted plus all the power you could ever want and if you decided to upgrade later on you would never have to worry about power.

The PSU is the most important part in building a machine so you want to make sure you buy a good one and has enough power for the future. The combo comes with a very capable PSU as it isnt top of the line but is no junker either.

Just some food for thought as I am sure others will attest to that combo as a good start for your computer even if 800w would be overkill for what you looking for but at the same if you decide to upgrade later down the road that is one thing you never have to worry about.
