Budget computer

I'm looking to build a budget computer.

It has to be able to run battlefield 3 without a problem.

I have a hard drive and a IDE CD rom from my old computer.

Hoping to stay under $400.

To play battlefield 3 at any decent setting, you'll have to spend more. You may be able to squeeze low to medium settings at a low resolution, but you won't get any higher than that.

$400 is going to be hard, OS alone is $100, so you got $300 for the hardware. Thats assuming that you have keyboard/mouse and/or monitor.

Actually the system Tech Savvy posted is pretty good for less than $500. Your budget is pretty limited but a 6850 should be able to BF3 at low-medium systems at the lower resolutions, but I doubt it'll play the game that well at the higher resolutions. If your budget was higher you'd be able to build a better performing system. Unless you already have a copy of Windows, that's going to eat $100 out of your budget like somebody else already said.
