I am building a computer for someone that just wants the computer for typing papers, surfing the internet, checking email, and IM. They need a full system (monitor, keyboard/mouse, computer). Heres what I have so far:

AMD Sempron 64 2600+ Palermo 800MHz FSB Socket 754 Processor - $64.00
BIOSTAR NF325-A7 Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD - $49.00
CORSAIR ValueSelect 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) - $36.50
XGI V3 64MB AGP Volari V3 64MB DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card - $31.50
Western Digital Caviar SE 80GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - $54.76
NEC Beige IDE DVD Burner - $38.99
SAMSUNG 750S-Ivory Beige 17" CRT Monitor D-Sub - $109.99
Keyboard/Mouse - $10.00
RAIDMAX Elite ATX-208P White 0.7mm SECC ATX Mid Tower case - $31.00
Microsoft Windows XP HOME Edition With Service Pack 2 - $91.95
Shipping - $66.15

Total - $583.84

Can anyone do any better than this for the same price? Does anyone see where I could cut some cost? Any suggestions/comments would be great!

oh good they have nice prices. just make sure that the video card and other cards have an available slot for them on the motherboard and that the CPU is the same slot type as the one available on the motherboard and that you have a nice power supply with enough cables for everything and that the memory is the same slot type and i think ddr 400 is what the motherboards are mostly. wait a minute do you have a power supply listed there?

well a lcd would be a welcome change even though it is a budget they are so much nicer to look at, it would cost a bit extra though, but it is worth consideration

Ok Lamilia i know how to build computers. I just wanted to know if you guys knew of any parts that would be better for the same money or where i could cut some cost. And for the LCD this is a budget computer it has to be the cheapest i can get it. Thanks for all the inputs guys!

wow is that really just as good? because if it is im getting like 2 possibly 3

EDIT oh i see its not for gaming

Why would you buy 2 or 3 MX4000's? You can only use 1 at a time in the computer.
