Budget gaming.

Hello everyone. I am sure this question comes up all the time about what computer to buy or what parts to get to build that can run games on a budget, so you guys should be pros at this :)

Budget: $450, maybe a tad bit more.

Games: MineCraft, League of Legends, GuildWars 2, possibly skyrim, Amnesia.

I would also like it to be powerful enough to record the screen while playing games as well as webcam at the same time do to some projects I would like to work on. Eventually I would like to be able to upgrade to make things run smoother. Mainly because I know I will most likely be able to do everything I would like to do with the computer I would have in my budget range.

I have come across a local seller who claims the computer can do what I need although a second opinion would be nice. I am unfortunately not that tech savvy.

If you have any suggestions that are better than this one please let me know!

$450 is more than 1/2 way to all new and better parts so ^ that's not worth it imo. And the power supply is no good.

that system isnt too bad for the money. tell him $425 and its a deal. the cpu will need to be overclocked to at least 3Ghz, but that should be simple to do with that cpu. it could use another 4 gig stick of ram for a total of 8gigs, and it does come with a 550ti and hard drive. i just prices an i5, motherboard and ram, and it came to about $375, so although your not getting the performance f new tech, you are however getting a case, psu (even though its not the best), hard drive, dvd drive, graphics card...the biggest hinderance you may have is wanting to record while playing games....it will drop your frams for sure, since your drive will have to read and write while you are playing, but you can add another hard drive in it and that will clear the problem up . id say if you can get it for a little cheaper, than go for it

Saw a Core i7 920 with 6 gig ram and a 9800GT for 100 bucks...something had to be wrong with that situation though...was with a 1000W supply, i just am wary of CL for some things.

No way I'd pay 485 for that.
To start with that thing with power cables coming out of it is a terd. 40A isn't needed but that ps doesn't have 40 available (as stated) unless you want to try running it full bore ha ha. And look at the +5v amps loll. Classic manufacturer misrepresentation.
After a bit of use your going to want to upgrade something. Then what? A new ps anyways. And when upgrade the cpu you'll have to get a mb and memory too.

Not to mention the already mentioned risk factor. You be better off imo finding a cheap used something for use of the case and hdd only and spending that 450ish on new tech/hardware then upgrading that w/ a bigger gpu than you're right now budget will get you.

If you know someone near a MicroCenter you can get an FX-6300 w/ a free AM3+ board for 120+tax.
