Budget laptop

Hey all,

I am saving up for an inexpensive laptop, in the past few weeks I found some of my money and I have $323.14 and I will be getting more slowly. I need a laptop that has good wi-fi capabilities, at least 100 GB HDD and it has to be able to run Mozilla Firefox with 5-12 tabs open along with Limewire or iTunes and Windows Live Messenger smoothly, and if possible Microsoft Word. I am not sure if that is a lot to ask for. As far as I have tried my dad's Acer aspire one it can run MS Word and Mozilla fine, but he doesn't have limewire or iTunes so I cannot test it out. I saw a version of it for 320 but it's HDD was too small. Does anyone have any suggestions?

wow thats quite a lot of stuff for a unmodifed comp to run ay? the Acer Aspire (or at least the new ones) are rather powerfull

Haha, well okay basics is all I need, Mozilla to run smoothly, MS Word and some type of music. Then IM sometimes.

It's very hard to find a laptop for under $400, unless you're talking about a netbook. You'll have to constantly keep an eye out for deals if you want a cheap laptop.

Alright how about this. The cheapest laptop that will run my needs smoothly. I didn't think it was that much heh. Just Mozilla with 5 tabs then I dont have 12 all the time and limewire + word once in a while then IM rarely if that helps any.

It doesn't matter much. As long as it will able to be viewed properly. I was hoping to get something atleast 10 inches, bigger if it is cheaper by any chance though, and I live in Canada if that matters.

still rather a lot to run for a 500 dollar computer um what OS did u want to run?
You are kidding right? Any new computer can run Firefox, LimeWire, and a few other apps at the same time. A $400 laptop should be just fine, I have a $400 Acer with a Celeron M, 1GB RAM, and 120GB HD that I bought last year which can be playing a video, browsing the web, and have Photoshop open in the background with no issues.

lol, thats fine. Well in CAD I think that laptop would be a little bit more but then again I would have to give the cash to my parents so they could pay through credit card and I dont think they will complain ;). So would that laptop be good?
