I'm building my cousin a PC with a $300.
Here is what I came up with:

Case: Xoxide Bio-X2 Case $39.99

Motherboard: ABIT NF8-V2 Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250Gb $70

CPU: AMD Sempron 64 3000+ Palermo Skt: 754 $86

RAM: OCZ Value Series 512MB $38.89

PSU: LOGISYS Computer PS550ABK ATX12V 550Watts $20
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817170010

Sub-Total: $254.88 +~30
Total: $287.51

HDD (40GB) and Graphics Card (FX-5500) are gonna be taken from a previous PC, also a CD-Burner and other components. I hope to keep a little money left over for some speakers too but those don't matter since if I cant get her new ones, I can get her some older ones for free.

Anything I should change to get better performance out of the money?

Well, $300 is all shes gonna give me to build this so I cant go over that. I tried fitting the A64 skt754 but it didnt work out with everything unless I can find a mobo thats is much cheaper but I'd like it to astill have the nforce chipset.
