Buggered Computer Stack Help

Hello all.

Right well, heres the story. My cousin bought a shed load of towers for some reason and not one of them seems functional. I'm trying to figure out why they won't work and to at least get one up and running for her daughter. Here's the problem:

Basically, I switched it on and the computer appeared to power up, I hear a hum from the HDD which indicates it's working or at least powered up yet the HDD light is always on and never goes off. From the moment I switch it on I get no picture from the computer at all, not even a BIOS page / information, nor POST etc. Would you put this down to the motherboard being nackered? I thought it might just be the onboard graphics being the problem but I stuck an AGP card in and that doesn't display a picture either.

Not sure of the spec as I haven't got it up and running to see and from what I have seen inside the case, she's (the computer :D) very old.

Thanks in advance for any help & replies.

This could be a problem with either the mobo or the ram. Put some different ram in and if it doesn't work still, then yes, it is the mobo.

No it doesn't give out any beeps what so ever. But then, I'm not entirely sure if it has a speaker hooked up to it so I'll have to check. Will try changing the RAM and see what happens.
