Okay so I got a lot of help from this forum for my first build found I was missing a few parts and got some good suggestions. So here is my final build parts list and I would like to have some of you look it over and make sure it will all work.

Thanks ahead of time.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3160815AS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Rosewill Stallion Series RD400-2-SB 400W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

ASUS M3A78-CM AM2+/AM2 AMD 780V Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Also clarification on OEM would be helpful. (heard about needing to buy my own cables ect. just wanting clarification.)

Thanks again.

First of all, you could get faster RAM, but as long as you get two sticks of that RAM it'll work... it just won't be as fast as 800 RAM.

Also, you do need to understand that that PSU doesn't support much of a graphics card (it'll run the onboard graphics fine, but if you want to get a seperate midrange graphics card you might a have some trouble.)

So basically the system will work just fine, but the RAM could be better and if you're gonna want to upgrade in the future (especially a graphics card) you may want to consider a more powerful PSU.... yeah, I know, I did recommend that one, it's a high quality PSU, but you can get better. :)

I am planning on getting two of those 1gb ram sticks so that should be fine and I don't really play games that are that power demanding so I think this build should work fine. Is there any mother board graphics card combo anyone would suggest because I'm having trouble trying to get the right combination. thanks.

If you don't play high graphics games the onboard graphics should do nicely.

Thanks for everyone's help! But I'm wondering now whether this build is worth it. The total cost with shipping is $360.
