I'm just wondering what you smart people think of my build. It's my first one. I'm using a bunch of 3D software, Maya, 3ds max, zbrush, vray, but I don't have a whole lot of money. In fact this build goes over my budget ($750) with an OS. Without an OS I'm only a few dollars over my budget. I'm not sure if any of those programs will run on linux either. It's a little low on RAM but more will have to wait. If you know of anything that is a cheaper alternative I'd be happy to hear it. Anyway... here it is....

Go for an i5-2500k. Its cheaper and faster than that processor, and has the potential to upgrade to an i7-2600k. You'll have to get a 1155 socket board, also. Look for a Z68 or P67. I wouldn't get a hitachi drive, either. Look for a samsung F3, western digital, or seagate. Might need to go for a 650w on your power supply for some headroom.
