Hey my friends parents need a new computer and he wants me to build it. I havent built in a little while (year or so) so not sure what is the best deal right now. Its going to be used for basic stuff like email, office, stream movies, ect. It is NOT going to be used for gaming. They are looking to spend $300-500 and they just need the tower with no OS (Little sister in college can get it cheap). Oh and we live in the US (oregon). Im going to start putting together a build to but i would love some help with it :D

EDIT: They would not be opposed to buying a pre built since at this price its hard to beat the big companies

Either hard drive is fine.

That PSU is fine too I rekon. it is from a reliable brand.

The faster RAM is better in a APU system because it aids the GPU with memory functions. Get the fastest you can. Probably 1866 or 2133 depending on your money constraints.

hmm they wont need a hard drive that big so i was thinking this one

And for the power supply:

And maybe a bit more ram since i dont think they will notice the difference in speed

THank you for the quick reply as well! What do you think of my suggestions?

The harddrive and power supply is fine. If you want more memory just go with this memory, plus it has 10 bucks off. Like said above faster memory is better with a APU.
