Build for friend - Need suggestions

I am building a computer for a friend and would like suggestions on this build to make it better while keeping it in the same price range.

Proccesor:
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 3800+ (2.0GHz) AM2 - OEM
Motherboard:
- Asus A8N-VM CSM Socket 939 GeForce 6150 A&V&L TV-out Motherboard
Memory:
-Kingston 512MB DDR400 Original Memory PC3200 (x2)
Hard Drive:
-Maxtor 160GB SATA2 7200rpm 8MB Hard Drive
Video Card:
PNY nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB DDR3 2DVI/HDTV PCI-Express Video Card -Retail
Case:
-Thermaltake VD3000BWA
CPU Fan:
ARCTIC COOLING Alpine 64 CPU Fan For AMD CPU
Power Supply:
Coolmax CX-550B 550W Power Supply Black

This computer is intended for Counter Strike and other games with Steam.
 
well your gonna have problem with Motherboard and Processor. You picked out a AM2 socket processor and a socket 939 motherboard, wont work. Either switch the processor or select another motherboard. If your gonna stick to a AM2 processor go with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 65W Windsor. The price difference from the 3800 and 4200 is like $20-$30.
