Build me a Computer for $1700-$1900AUD

Hey Guys im buying all the parts in the next 3-4 days this is what ive put together so far. Ill be using it to game only and i want to max out games on Ultra with 60fps in the most demanding situations.

OS - Windows 7 64bit - $260
CPU - I7 2600K - $399
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 - $219
HDD - Samsung Spinpoint 1TB - $79
RAM - G Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1600MHz - $145
GPU - Gigabyte Radeon HD6950 - $349
PSU - Antec High Current Gamer 900W - $165
OD - Samsung SH-B083L 8X Blu-ray DVD - $69
Case - Antec 1200 - $209

= $1894

Wouldnt mind seeing some other suggestions though, and also making sure all of the above is compatible?
 
Yes its compatible.

IMHO I'd get the i5-2500K, OC it like hell, get this equally good mobo for less, then spend the extra on GTX 570. I assume you plan to Crossfire/SLI in the future because of the high-wattage PSU you've picked. If I'm wrong, then this PSU is higher quality and modular and will cope perfectly. Also consider this awesome PSU if you're going dual-card in the future. More info on watts and amps here. I think it'd be worth cutting back on the case/CPU to get an OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD. If this is solely a gaming PC, then a standard DVD-RW drive will do fine, no meed for expensive Blu-ray.
 
Made some changes about to order from pccasegear and make a trip to MSY to get a few parts cheaper heres my updated list with help from you guys -

OD - Samsung SH-B083L 8X Blu-ray DVD - $69
2nd OD - Pioneer DVR-219L DVDRW OEM - $35
Case - Coolmaster HAF 932 - $165

Total - $1886

Anywhere else i can cut costs etc? or get similaur for a cheaper price, or pay a slight bit more for a huge upgrade?

also want to make sure its compatible! im not to sure on the RAM in the mobo? i know its 1.5 volt but for some reason it says it matches 1156 pin although i read on OC that itll work in 1155 pins as well?
 
odd marketing lol they are cheaper than the "1156 ram"? :eek: but im not going to complain

Yeah you shouldn't buy from PCCG, they're selling the i7 for $400 but at MSY you can get pretty much the same thing for $72 cheaper!

My suggestion is, take off about $70 off the GTX570, get a 460/560, and use the remaining cash ($100+) to get yourself a sweet SSD, they will dramatically improve your loading times (of programs installed on this drive - your OS). That's my suggestion though, the 460/560 are still good cards.

MSY doesnt seem to have the i7 2600k or 2500k? they just have non k versions. they actually seem to have very few options compared to pccasegear.
they seem to have very few parts i need, they dont even have the memory just the case/mobo and OD.
and cheers for the suggestion will have a quick look at some benchmarks from the cards.
