Build me a computer to play cs 1.6

Make it REALLY cheap. i mean like $300 in all if possible.

i just want a computer that will play cs, surf the web, and use basic applications. Nothing else! I have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and everything else so all i need is the tower.

raise yo budget to $500 then we can talk
 
any computer can play cs. my old 1.2 ghz compaq presario could handle it. the new patch seems to be giving lots of people grief though. but my dual core rig right now doesn't feel drops in fps until i get stuck in roughly 9 smoke grenades. if you ask me. a dell dimension would do fine

What are these? I have never heard of such a processor, are you speaking of an Intel P4 at 3.06GHz? And what brand makes that board?
 
sorry,I am Chinese boy,but in China,we did call CD3.06=celeronD3.06 moyherboard:MSI 915PL.I think there is some barrier between our lanuages!

Um yes, I have been noticing this barrier

Now, I understand...

However, you should not get a celeron. For gaming at all, you would definitely want a Sempron.
