Build Suggestions

I am finally able to build a new computer. I mainly use it for internet, gaming and some movie watching. My parts list is below. Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated, as I wont have the money for some time to build another. I went with a cheaper GPU just in case I decide to upgrade it sooner. Thanks for any comments. :) BTW: I already have the case, psu, and dvd drives.

Looks good to me

Thanks for the link. It's an interesting looking kit, but I think my heart is pretty set on the i7 platform for the build. Any other part suggestions or add on items that might be useful are greatly appreciated. TY for the views thus far.

If your adamant to go with i7 go with that

Not to drag this thread out too far, but is there a reason I shouldn't go i7. I just figured it would be a good all around processor and a good future proof to go with the 1366. I don't want to have to start from scratch anytime soon.

Dont get a coolermaster V8, either get a TRUE or Megahalems(Jab-tech and sidewindercomputers both sell either of them, however the Megahalems is currently the best air cooler on the market)

Id go with this memory, mushkin is one of the best memory manufacturers on the market whilst ocz isnt that great imo:

And this board has better overclocking potential as long as you arent planning on going tri SLI, and overall just a better board IMO(and cheaper as well):

As far as operating system...just get windows 7 home premium, no need for ultimate. All you get with ultimate is XP mode and bitlocker pretty much.

I think I'm going to go with the Megahalems, i like its look better. The enlarged pics on Jab-tech do it better justice. I thought about the mushkin memory in the beginning, was just looking at the ocz caue it was cheaper in a combo deal with the GPU. But I'm a beliver in you get what you pay for, so might be a good thing to check it out.

.

The Cooler Master V8 is one of the best heatsinks available. I have read many tests and reviews and use one on my AMD Phenom II X2 BE. I can't get the proc temp over 35 C no matter what game I play.

So, Here is an update to what I think I will be buying soon. Staying with the V8 mainly b/c I can get it for $40 with combo deal. Staying with the EVGA mobo seems to be a popular board so might be easier for me to find support for it myself on the internet over the Foxconn board. The only other contestant for me was the ASUS P6T, but kept seeing reviews saying it was harder to work with. This is my first build I want to keep it as simple as I can. Changed to G.Skill memory. Dropped the 7 Ultimate for the full version of 7 Home Premium. I probably won't need the few upgrades the other versions offer. Also, for the oem price of Ultimate I can get the full version of Home Premium, just incase I screw something up. I don't want to not be able to reinstall it just b/c the Microsoft rep doesn't like my reason. Thanks so far for the responses they are very helpful. If anyone sees any further advise from the updated build please don't hesitate to comment. Sorry, for this book like post. :)
