Building a budget gaming pc

I am looking for some good parts are canadacomputers or tigerdirect, I just want to build a budget gaming pc not that hardcore of gamer so like, i want to play Left 4 dead, call of duty and all those other games that doesn't require like a 1000$ computer, i want to just add a new motherboard, graphics card, more ram to my current computer because it is wayyy to old and slow, if you guys know any good parts then please tell me.

I forgot to put in, a new cpu but my current cpu is AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.19GHZ and my power supply is about 450W

Since you didn't give a budget, I'll start with this.

You have two mobo choices. Both support AM3 procs. One supports DDR3, one DDR2 RAM type:

I went with 4GB, it's pretty standard among gaming PCs, even budget ones. Obviously the DDR2 goes with the Gigabyte, and the DDR3 with the Foxconn.

Basically with this list, you are looking at about $280-325, in CA, including shipping. The amount of money you spend mainly depends on the video card you get. All of these cards WILL play the games you listed. However, the more expensive ones will look MUCH nicer. The 4850 is one hell of a card, for the price. However, getting the 4850 means you will HAVE to have either a really good quality 450, or you will have to upgrade the PSU, meaning about $50 if you catch a real good deal, up to about $80. DON'T skimp on the PSU, if that goes, so could your entire computer.
