Ok im not to good with all this Computer stuff, so im gonna need a little help. Been searching and searching and came up with this, if you guys got suggestions please feel free to say them.

Before i list everything, this computer is basically meant for CS 1.6 and CS:S i would like to run CS:S at 100FPS(no lower then 80fps), but im willing to sacrifice that if it starts getting too expensive, my budget is $1500cdn. So, if you guys see things i listed below that can be lowered please do so. Thanks to everyone before hand who's willing to help.

Case - Aspire Black X-Cruiser Case ATX Mid-Tower w/ clear side Front USB/Audio and Firewire Ports

Monitor - ViewSonic VP920B/19"/Extreme 4ms/500:1/SXGA 1280x1024/thin black/DVI-VGA/LCD

CPU - Intel Pentium D 930 Dual Core 3.0 GHz

MotherBoard - ASUS P5ND2-SLi Deluxe

HDD - 200 or 250 GB SATA - II 3.0 GB/s 8m Cache 7200rpm

RAM - 1GB (2x 512MB) PC 5300 DDR2/667 Dual Channel Memory

Soundcard - Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

VCard - eVGA 7900GT

Optical Drive - BENQ DVD-RW/DL Burner

If im missing anything please let me know , this computer is being built from scratch.

i have no problems with counter strike with my rig. the only noticeable difference is i have 2gbs of ram.

if its for gaming get the x2 like the x2 4000 and get the motherboard for amd the a8n32 and change the ram to 400mhz some good brand and your good..

What kind of RAM are you getting, what brand?
Yeah, what are you getting?? I suggest corsair, They're my favorite brand on ram... I think that's everyone's favorite...

If I am to make a AMD based comp I’m going to need some help I really don’t know what’s compatible, if you guys could give me specs for a comp based on AMD including RAM, HDD, Vcard, mobo, CPU (AMD obviously) and soundcard etc. It would be highly appreciated.

As of now, this is what my specs look like based in an Intel setup (all prices in Canadian dollar):

Soundcard – Creative Lab SB X-Fi Xtreme Music PCI ($140.99)
CPU – Intel Pentium D 930 3.0GHz ($419.99)
Mobo – Asus P5ND2 – Sli Deluxe Socket 775 ATX ($139.99)
HDD – Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB 7200rpm 8MB ($107.99)
RAM – Corsair Value Select Dual Channel 1024MB PC – 5400 DDR2 667MHz ($120.99)
Vcard – eVGA GeForce 7900 GT CO 256MB GDDR3 ($380.99)
Case – Aspire X-Discovery Black ATX Mid Tower ($95.99)
Monitor – ViewSonic VP920B 19” Extreme 4ms / 500:1 / SXGA 1280x1024 / DVI-VGA / LCD ($336.99)
Power Supply – Ultra / V-series / 500 watt / ATX / 120mm FAN / 20/24 Pin / SATA ready ($63.99)

TOTAL = $1807.91

Please if you guys see something that should be changed, feel free to say so. TY

Well, I don't know what the prices are in canadian dollars so, I'm not sure.. Although looking at what your intel based specs are, you do not need that nice of a soundcard to meet your needs unless you plan on having 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. Heck, I'll be using a $15 US sound card which has been suiting me just fine. I suggest wasting some of that money on your psu. That thing is way too cheap to serve that hot geforce 7900 gt

this is in CAD:
(from Computer Specs 101)
Samsung SH-W162C ($45.99)
ASUS A8R-MVP [RX200CF] ($122.00)
Nikao Black Case ($25.80)
Western Digital 250GB 16MB SATA-II ($117.00)
Athlon 64 X2 4200+ [Manchester, Socket 939 Lidded OmPGA, 2200MHz, ADA4200DAA5BV] ($425.00)
Western Digital 250GB 16MB SATA-II ($117.00)
Sapphire Radeon X1900XT 512MB ($619.99)
Thermaltake Blue Orb II ($49.99)
OCz PowerStream 520W [12V@33A] ($148.00)
Corsair Value Select PC3200 2x1024MB CL2.5 ($229.00)
SUBTOTAL: $1899.77

I don't know what all that junk means, on the cpu, but $425 is wayy too much for a athlon x2 4200+ i bet with that you can get a 4400+ or a 4600+ at newegg.com.. Actually, let me check... So are you going to get this? Oh dear, I'm very sorry, hehe didn't see what the CAD meant...

bigsaucy im trying to reduce the price , and id like to stick with Nvidia rather then ATI. ( thx ne wayz )

and spraybottle im bad on computer terms so whats a PSU ? ( sry for being dumb ) and what to you mean go with a cheap sound card i just dont get it ?? explain plz.

PSU is powersupply, i had this whole definition, but apparently after i clicked back, it deleted all that i said... When i mean to go with a cheap sound card, i mean that you should go with the sound card the motherboard gave you instead of buying a whole new one. You do not need to buy another sound card.

Ok ive decided im going with Intel PD dual core 3.0GHz as a CPU, ive got these for my specs so far, im sending this to the guy who builds my comp's today, so let me know what you guys think. and plz feel free to give me suggestions aside from dropping intel.

And again will this give me 100fps or at least over 80fps in CS:Source and DoD:Source , and future games ??

Monitor – ViewSonic VP920B 19” Extreme 4ms / 500:1 / SXGA 1280x1024 / DVI-VGA / LCD ($336.99) ( im trying to go cheap here but stay under 4ms, is this a good choice?)
Case – Aspire X-Discovery Black ATX Mid Tower ($95.99)
Power Supply – Ultra / V-series / 500 watt / ATX / 120mm FAN / 20/24 Pin / SATA ready ($63.99)
CPU – Intel Pentium D 930 3.0GHz ($419.99)
Mobo – Asus P5ND2 – Sli Deluxe Socket 775 ATX ($139.99) ( is this a good mobo for this comp ?? )
HDD – Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB 7200rpm 8MB ($107.99) ( any other suggestions on my HDD )
RAM – Corsair Value Select Dual Channel 1024MB PC – 5400 DDR2 667MHz ($120.99) ( is this a good RAM to Choose cause im not to familiar with all this )
Soundcard – Creative Lab SB X-Fi Xtreme Music PCI ($140.99) ( should i get a cheaper soundcard , or stick with this ??? )
Vcard – eVGA GeForce 7900 GT CO 256MB GDDR3 ($380.99) ( is this a good Vcard ??? and wuts the CO mean after GT i thought it was just called eVGA GeForce 7900 GT ... )

TOTAL = $1807.91
