building a comp

this is my first time building a comp, but im getting a dual core processors but i dont know which one yet and i need a pci express video card, now ive ran through some ideas i do want a tv tuner so i can either buy one seperate or in a card like an all in wonder

now ideas nvidia 6600gt and a pci tv tuner 200-250$
or a ATi all-in-wonder x1300 180$
or ATi all-in-wonder x800xl or xt cant remember 270-300

what are some others that are good either ati or nvidia at least 256mb

Well the 6600GT is not 256 mb if you want a quality 256 mb card i would go for a 6800 GT
 
Thats not 6600GT. Memory size means almost nothing. The 6600GT will outperform the 256 Mb 6600 vanila.
 
so would it be better to get the 6600 and a tv tuner or just the all in wonder 800 or the 1300

which would run games better the 6600 or 800 i know it would be easier to get the AIW installed and working then the other 2 probably

ati tv software is good ive "heard"
 
That is a 6600 GT with 256 mb of RAM but the only difference between that and a 6800 GT is the 6800 GT has a 256 mb bit rate and the 6600 GT has a 128 mb bit rate, and the core clock and memory clock are higher on a 6800 GT.
