Between the two video cards the second one would be my choice.

Yes, that motherboard would work. Also, check out Newegg and compare prices.

The motherboard you first linked to is the older 1156 and the cpu you linked to is the newest Sandy Bridge second generation cpu. As I said earlier go with the second generation 1155.
 
tanclown, listen. if your going to be building this pc for gaming, then the cpu you chose is great. although the motherboard is not. since the 2500k, which is your cpu of choice, has a unlocked multiplier, you will want to get a P67 motherboard, instead of the H67 board you posted. both are socket 1155, but the p67 will allow you to actualy use the cpu in the way it was intended, by using the unlocked multiplyer to increase speed pretty far beyond stock performance. the P67 also has NO integrated graphics out puts on it, which is the way it should be since the P67 chipset is made for gaming, and you will have your own dedicated graphics card like you intend to. if you stick with the H67 chipset then you may as well save some money and just get the 2500, instead of the 2500k, since you wont be able to use the benifets of the unlocked multiplyer of the 2500k, and use the money saved towards a better GPU for sure
 
Ya, I understand. But the i5 2500 is more than what i get 2500k for. I am not going to be now, maybe when I get more money in my pocket, I will get a new MOBO, but right now this is the best i can do. Hmm maybe i should go with a AMD based system?
 
just a word of advice, don't go with MSI's motherboards. I have heard of a few people having really bad experiences with this brand. Their graphics cards are fine though. Go for a bigger brand like ASUS or Gigabyte as they both have huge reputations.
 
your ordering some parts from tigerdirect i see. the 2500 is $209, and the 2500k is $229, so if you ordered it from there then you could save some cash, otherwise an asus or gigabyte P67 board is what you want. also, if you can get to a micro center, then i5 2500k is only $180 with their instant discount.
