It is almost $1600 including shipping.

I plan on using it for everything, but I really want to do alot of TV recording and video editing. Do you think the graphics card I got will be adaqute? And is the TV tuner I got a good one?

Do you still think I should go with the other processor?

What is the advantage of this motherboard over the one I chose?

Well I've made some changes b/c the price was a little high. See what you guys think. The changes will be bolded.

Also, I took out the TV tuner since I already have one. I was going to buy a new one but I think I will see how my old one does for a while first.

These changes lower the cost from almost $1700 to $1395.90. I would like to lower the price a little more but I'm not sure what I could do. I want to keep the big monitor b/c I want it to basically replace my TV.

Do you guys think 4 GB of RAM is necessary?

Also thinking about changing video cards to this:

XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
Item #: N82E16814150229

This would save almost $100, but will it still be adaquate for TV viewing/recording?

If you're going to get a PCI-E 2.0 card [the 8800GT Superclocked], why not get a mobo that supports 2.0?

the GA-EP35-DS3L is basically the new version of the GA-P35-DS3L except the GA-EP35-DS3L is a Dynamic Energy Saver, saves you on your electric bills. They are practically the same with a few minor differences. The GA-EP35-DS3L is 20$ cheaper though.

As for the Video Cards, I recommend the 8800GT instead of the 8600GT. I have a EVGA 8600GT and as its does work decently, I am disappointed with it. I would highly recommend the 8800GT. I only got the 8600GT cause I was on a very low budget. I'm getting a 8800GT Soon though. Yay.

Everything looks great. Go for it. Consider my posts if you like.

Even though the GA-P35-DS3L doesn't have a PCI-E 2.0 slot, it can still support PCI-E 2.0 Video cards.

The q6600 is going to be great for video editing, and Im currently am using the sunbeam transformer case, it's kind of cheap but not too bad for the price - decent fans and enough room, the front grill looks kind of cool lit up too.

you should be able to easily walk that q6600 up to 3 ghz if you get a halfway decent heatsink.

I would keep the 4gb of ram. It's so freaking cheap right now, I just bought upgraded to 4 gb because it was less than half the price I paid for 2 gb last year.

But I heard they are also too strict when trying to over volt so they might not be the best option for overclockers. In this case, I'd go and find a regular P35-DS3L as they might stop manufacturing them...

Oh i read that too. Seems like you can't OC the volt on the motherboard past the CPU voltage, or something like that. If your gonna overclock, dont get it and get the P35-DS3L
