Building a Desktop (first time)

Again my principal suggestion is GET MORE THAN 1 HDD ! ! Otherwise if you HDD goes, you have lost everything. Me, I run a machine with 4 HDDs, 2 of which are in Hot Swap Trays, and I have 13 other HDDs in Hot Swap Trays, that can be used to replace those 2. Makes my machine VERY SECURE in terms of being sure I don't lose any important files.

I was planning on using with a SSD card. Does that won't work? If that is the case i will just get 1TB and a 500 GB internal hard drive

I did a little looking around and found few things you might be interested in.
This SSD is very reliable and fast. If you don't have more than about 25ish gb of programs (not counting Windows) its a good size and a great deal.

Ripjaws was on sale but it's sold out. This Patriot is good memory. Has 9CL instead of 10 like the Corsair. 5 more but has a rebate that will come in handy later. And blue like the mb :) .

This hdd is great. Plus, you might like this case better.

Or one of these other cases, or some other case.

Power supply. If your going to always run 1 gpu this unit has a preferable single 12v rail w/46amps which is enough for gpu upgrade down the road + 7 yr warranty and still modular.

Alternates would be Antec HGC 620w, Corsair TX 650, and Corsair HX 750Gold if you think you'll add another gpu.

If you use the free shipping trial + the 2 instant promos, with that 692 case, total is 1200.
Dont know if your getting Windows 7 OEM 64 bit or not but Eblast has it for 90.

Close to 200 left for monitor.

The 70 in mir's and 15GC could be used for a back up drive. Maybe use discs till then.
You mentioned not overclocking. The stock cooler will work fine and if you decide to oc , the HSF can be bought at that time.

I replaced some of the deals. But I didn't replace RAM and case.

Ram: I trust Corsair's products more than Patriot's. Amazon has blue Corsair may be I will get those.

Case: The case come with the 1TB hard drive and I am already getting 2 500GB west digital products, which are more reliable since there are 2. Plus, the coolmaster case I currently added has excellent ventilation system.

So this is the updated list now.

Total Price: $1557 including tax

What I don't want to do is OVERCLOCKING. But it seems that most of the strong processors or motherboards come with that features.

Mate, that's a, sorry to say, stupid thing to say :( Even with what you're buying, you can, with one click, overclock that CPU to 4.43GHz from 3.4GHz. Temperature wise it's gonna be roughly the same, and it's worth it.

Look in your motherboards UEFI/BIOS and look for the option called "OC Tuner". Your PC will restart a couple of times and woop-de-doo it's overclocked :)

Overclocking seems awesome but I just don't wanna take that risk. If something happens, I am a kind of person who would both freak out and stress out due to my minimal knowledge on computer components.

Your not stupid for not wanting to overclock and it actually preserves your warranties. If a few years from now, once your warranty periods are over, if you decide you need more performance for whatevers going on at that time, you'll have overclockability.
Again-nice build :good:

Can't load that website from my office because it's blocked... lol but from what I've seen through the posts, sounds all good.

Can I install 32 GB (4x8 GB) RAM on Asus P8Z77-V, since it has 4 slots? how do I know its max capability?

And also how do i know if ASUS P8Z77-V support 32-bit OS or 64-bit OS?

"Memory: 4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2600(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.) 2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600/1333" - ASUS Website

32GB is the maximum right now, sometimes it gets increased with a BIOS update, but you shouldn't hold your breath :)
