Hey guys, im new to the site.
Looking for anyplace where I could receive feedback on a new Gamer's PC that im planing to build.

I don't got much of experience in building a PC and i have never took too much interest in PC components until now, and that's why i need your help.

The PC I have set up after doing a few days of research and reading:

Processor: Intel Core i7 4820K 3.7Ghz 10MB L3 Cache s2011 - Box
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H90 140mm High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X99M-Gaming 5 LGA2011-3,Intel X99, DDR4, 3xPCI-E
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 4x4GB DDR4 2133MHz CL15 Kit
Graphic Card: Gigabyte GTX980 SOC 4GB GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3xDP PCI-E
Memory: Western Digital Caviar Red WD20EFRX 2TB Sata III
SSD: Corsair Force LS CSSD-F240GBLS-BK 240GB SSD Sata III MLC Retail
PSU: SeaSonic 1250W Gold X-Series Active PFC 12cm Fan Modular X-1250 (Retail)
Case: Corsair Graphite 760T Full Tower Case with Window No PSU

Thanks in advance :)

It looks like a very powerful setup - are you sure you need of all that power?

If you want to save a lot of money you can go with an i7 4790K and a Z77 setup (since it seems like you can afford it!) but if you want X99 then as above go with a 5820K and a proper ATX motherboard.

The WD Red drives are really intended to be used in NAS drives, not desktop PCs. You should get a Blue or a Black drive instead.

I think if you're going to go with 16GB of RAM you should go with 2x8GB.

I'd go with a Samsung SSD over a Corsair any day of the week. The Samsung 850 drives are really good, check them out.

The power supply is a good one but 1250W is serious overkill for one GTX 980. Even if you intend to get another 980 for SLI down the line 1250W is overkill (an 850W would probably do it). You could run this setup with a single 980 on a good 650W PSU.

First of, thanks for your help! I havent been able to reply yesterday since i had zero time after work and gym.

Sisco001,
what do you mean by "get ATX mobo"?
im not really good at this field so I have a little trouble understanding what might seem to you obvious.

Spirit,
yes its a powerfull computer, its meant to be a gaming PC, investing 12K NIS or even more , about 3-4k$, and hopefully the setup will run all current games on max specs with no problems and future games as well. This is the only time im investing this ammount of money into building a PC from skratch so its meant to surve me for the future years.

Whats the difference between Z77 and X99?
What is a proper motherboard?

Why is samsung SSD better then the corsair? from what ive read, corsair make a really good product.

Also by overkill you mean it will damage my PC or will there just be too much power that is unused?

Are you sure a 650W will do? i just dont want to buy any new PSU's later on incase i want to switch any part in the PC and ill need a stronger PSU. What would you recommend?

Other then that what would you say, is it a good enough PC to fit my requests, is there any improvements to be done other then what youve noted?

thanks in advance!

Get ATX Motherboard.
There is no point to get a huge case with tiny motherboard which you can't expand.

I believe spirit meant Z97, not Z77.

You don't need to spend $3 - 4k to max out current game on 1080. A $2k machine can do the job.

4820k won't work in a X99 board.

Z77 was socket 1155. X99 is socket 2011-3. Things like the 4820k were socket 2011 which was not compatible with 2011-3. Spirit meant to say Z97 which is socket 1150 and the latest non-extreme platform.

1250w is pretty overkill unless you're planning on trifire/triple-SLi or something (or get a really good deal on the PSU itself).

What if i want to run in on bigger res? No difference?
and once agen, the whole point in investing so much money is so i wont have to worry about buying any new parts for the PC for 1-3 years, and still be able to run future games on max specs. if it could be archieved on a lower budjet as you guys say here, i just might be rethinking this whole thing from skratch, building a different PC with a better GCard ( NVIDIA titan).

as for your other comment, ill look in to that.
waiting for spirit's reply.

if your getting the 5820k and planning on overclocking it i would get a 240 or 280mm radiator system instead like a corsair h100i, h110i gt. They put out a lot of heat.

I would also stick to the 980 over a titan X, it has more VRAM but is only around %30 faster in games and pretty much twice the price, would be more future proof because of the VRAM but they are costly. Get 3000mhz RAM aswell if possible.

OK fair enough but the point is it doesn't take a system like the one proposed in this thread to play games at 1080p.

Yeah I didn't even really read much of what was going on in the thread but yeah you're exactly right.

Thanks for all your help guys!
After everything you wrote i guess ill have to reconsider my PC and probably build a new one.
hopefully this time ill do it right and wont **** things up.
ill lurk here too, probably will learn new things.

Cheers!
:good:

after reading throe all of your comments again, I've rebuilt it once agen.

Intel Core i7 5820K 3.3Ghz 15MB L3 Cache s2011-3 - Box
Corsair Hydro H110 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-X99-Gaming 5 LGA2011-3, Intel X99, DDR4, 4xPCI-E Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL14 Kit
Gigabyte GTX980 SOC 4GB GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI 3xDP PCI-E
Samsung 850 EVO mSATA MZ-M5E250BW 250GB SSD mSATA III
Corsair 850W Active PFC Modular 80+ Gold RM850 PSU
Corsair Graphite 760T Full Tower Case with Window No PSU
Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition High Static Pressure 120mm Fan

is this any better? will it all work fine?

Overkill but if you can afford it go for it.

Make sure the 850 isn't an mSATA SSD. You want a proper SATA one (should be 2.5" in size for laptops/desktops).

yes

Yes, I can afford it.
budjet is 12k NIS, i reached 11,785 NIS.

and I changed it to regular SATA from mSATA, thanks for the heads up!:good:
