I have picked out all of the components for the gaming computer I will be building within the next few weeks:

Video Card:

CPU:

Ram:

Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131013

Power Supply:

Hard Drive:

Now I was wondering if anyone had any objections like problems with any of these parts in the past and if they all agree with eachother. Also, what cooling precautions should I take. Is there anything else I should know before I try to assemble my first computer?

LOOKS LIKE A GREAT BUILD! almost just like my old 5600+ setup...with a good cooler the 5600+ goes 3.2 easy!

My recommendation, would be to go with Intel, rather than AMD. Intel is [unfortunately] dominating right now, and would be a better buy.

Not necessarily, for amd's price, they are dominating Intel power to price ratio like a mofo.

Intel isnt as good as people say, there are just too many damn fanboys in this forum.

also recommend spending a little more on the GPU and getting a 8800GTS G92, your already spending 279 why not spend another 30 to get a better card.

Why not get the 512MB 8800GTS it has 10 extra unified shaders over the GT, the performance gain is worth the extra price you pay for it. Why not have an Intel CPU? They might cost a little bit more but the performance gain is more than worth it, get the Q6600, its the best one for overclocking.

No, but buying a cpu that performs better in benchmarks isnt comparable to jumping off a cliff.

Seriously, wtf?
