Building a Gaming Computer

To run those games on all max settings, it depends what size/pixels your monitor is.
That's a good barebone kit, gives you room to expand, and for a processor fan/heatsink, just go with a Socket 775 one. This is the heatsink/fan ive got running on one of my builds on an Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66Ghz overclocked to 3.15Ghz. However, if you don't want to spend that much, ive also got one of these, which works amazingly well. Just remember, if you're going to stand the computer vertically, dont get anything with heatpipes, they're less effective when at that angle.

Haha, yeah, it does. I thought that same thing. So much so, that when it came, i was actually kinda dissapointed at its size!:D:D

from what i understand while heatpipes are less effective on vertical systems, they are still more effective than non heatpipe HSF's

ok all the noctua heatsinks on newegg use heatpipes do i dont understand what youj mean by hybrid
As in, most heatpipe heatsink are ABOVE the CPU, with the heatpipes connecting them to the board. this one has both the heatpipes, and is touching the board like a non-heatpipe fan.

Meh... it doesn't matter. I think I'll get the Noctua. And by the way, it has the heatpipes and a 120mm fan on top, at least in the pictures. So it has the best of both. Or... a hybrid. Or am I not understanding this?
