Well i wanna build a gaming computer. I want it to be a beast so ima spend around 2-3 grand tell me what i should get for i can be top of the line i need everything but graphics card. I have a Geforce 7900gt graphics card.

Well, seeing as how Intel absolutely smokes AMD, start with a C2D E6800 and an Asus P5W DH Deluxe. Buy a SCSI RAID 5 array. Ummm. A Plextor DVDRW. A PC P&C 1000W PSU.

If your gonna spend that much, load up this configurator!!

If I had that much to spend I would definatly get a core 2 duo, he's right Intel is wiping the floor with AMD

Why do you double post to avadirect.com? Who, other than you, has ever heard of avadirect?

You probably want to build it yourself, then you will be able to customize it to your tastes. What are you going to do with this computer other than gaming? Do you have a budget? 2-3k is rather vague.

I found them a long time ago when the AMD 64's first came out and I always buy from them now cause they will customize the system anyway I want and I've been happy with their service and stuff.

Gotta go, I'm tired

It's called anything I damn well want it to be

lol. j/k. I never thought about the extreme version. That's even better. While we're dreaming up systems we might as well go all the way. What about a Dell mainframe? :P

I'd either sell the 7900GT in favour of a better card, or purchase a second for SLI. A single 7900GT simply wouldn't do justice to a $2-3K gaming machine.
