Building a Gaming PC...

INTRODUCTION:
Hi, I'm Apratim, a newbie to this forum...so a big Hello to everyone...
REQUIREMENT:
I am planning to set up a gaming PC with a moderate budget.
WHAT I HAVE DONE TILL NOW:
I have decided on almost everything, but anything can be changed if I get better suggestions.
MY PROBLEM:
I am not too sure about the compatibility of all the products with each other.
MY PLANNED CONFIGURATION:
1.Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

DETAILED QUESTIONS:
QUESTION 1 :
Will that motherboard support the graphics card? Will the motherboard affect fps in games?
QUESTION 2 :
The motherboard says "dual channel supported"... does that in any way means that I can't use just that one 2 GB stick in a single channel?
QUESTION 3 :
The RAM timing is 7-7-7-20 as mentioned in the datasheet, but in their site they have changed it to 7-7-7-21. Will the RAM timings have any compatibility issue with the processor or the graphics card (and also the processor that you'll suggest)? Is that RAM timing good for gaming?(Sorry if this question sounds stupid).I don't have much idea about RAM timings and their effect on performance or even causing compatibility issues.
CONCLUSION: Please post your suggestions...thanks in advance.
 
Yes the motherboard will support that graphic card
and you got the meaning of dual channel totally wrong you will have to put the memory in multiples of 2 for optimum performance you can put upto 16 gigs of memory in that board.
So you can also have 2 sticks of 2 gb Ram
And better go for an HD 5830 or a GTX 275

thanks for the reply...Ya, I know abt that multiples of two thing for best performance...but what i asked was : Can I use just 1 stick of 2gb RAM...just occupying a single channel?
 
Is that mobo good enough for gaming or can I get better ones in a similar price range? please suggest...I see that this mobo has on-board graphics...but I won't be needing it...so any better mobos without onboard graphics(pls remember abt the price range)...not more than 110$...

Thanks a lot...another thing...some boards are micro ATX, some are just ATX...is there anything that I need to be concerned abt regarding whethr I'm buying ATX or micro ATX?how will it affect?
 
micro ATX is smaller and can be a bit problematic when it comes to upgrading due to lack of space, especially with the more recent graphics cards that are massive

so its better to buy mobos whose form factor is given as only "ATX" in newegg specifications tab?
 
its better as you'll have more room and probably better upgrade options (due to there probably being more slots on the board), as long as your not trying to build a small computer, look for ATX
 
thanks...please check the specifications which I have already given at the beginning of this thread...now I can spend a little more on the graphics card...so which GPU should I get...?it can be just a little more expensive than 260GTX...rather pls suggest the next higher GPU... pls remember that I cant get 4890, its not available in India at the moment...the 4850,4870 and 4890...these 3 arent available....evrything else is available...and newegg doesnt cater to International customers...
