building a media center

Hey, im building a pc which will be installed with Windows MCE 2005. Is there any specific requirements regarding what graphics card i choose? Does it matter what tv tuner i buy, or is there any specific one i need?

1. What is your budget?

2. You will probably need a lot of hard drive space.

3. I wuld reccomend a dual core processor.

4. If you can fit it in your budget, I would get something like this:

it will play games well and is a tv tuner with a cool remotre control.

well, im will be using an amd athlon 3700+ 2.2ghz 1mbL2 cache. and will have 1gig of ram. I dont intend to be playing doom3 at the highest quality settings, i just want to be able to watch/record tv, and be able to play some games, but hardcore games, the sims for example!which i doubt takes that much power to run. I just want to make sure that my graphics card will be compatible. This is what i intend to use http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=314139&s=sc btw, i wil be using a 200gb SATA harddrive

i think the 3700+ will be just fine, as well as the sata 2-200gb hard drive. but i would upgrade to a little bit better of a gpu.

yea the 6600gt is a very good budget card.


but how much are u actually willing to spend?

i cant spend anymore that €150 on a gpu, so thats about $180. And also, i cant buy from newegg because of my location, and other american sites because of high p+p cost and long shipping times.

ok well for that price range, the 6600gt does look like your best bet.
