Building a New PC, how to reformat and reuse a HD?

Hey everyone. I am currently running two HD's (250 gig and 650 gig) in a PC that I built which is running Windows XP. I am now building a new PC that will be running Vista and would like to use the 650 gig HD from my current PC.

I am not trying to keep the data or anything. I would just like to wipe it completely clean like a brand new HD in preperation for the fresh install. I would appreciate any tips on the best way to accomplish this.

I know in Windows 98 I would use fdisk for matters like this, but...it has been quite a while. Thank you for your help.
 
Like said above. Just boot to the Vista CD/DVD. delete the partition, create a new one, let it format and start the install.
