building a new system does this look good

im building a new computer and i do major gaming do these components look good

NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813188010

on a motherboard and cpu together i can spend around 400 dollars
and would it be better if i get a ecs nforce 570 sli and a core 2 duo e6600 2.4ghz

Let me know if you know a great sli motherboard that supports c2d and is at a lower price then the 680i?
