I volunteer at a place that builds puters to donate! My boss has this mobo and a case (if you want to call it that) and he wants me to put one together for him.

I have plenty of the outside goodies, mouse, monitor, keyboard. I just need PSU HDD, Floppy, cd dvd burner and OS windows XP $700 budget He has an old one that is about to die and I told he would impressed! :P

and like dragon said; I think it will need a CPU He will just use it in his office for surfing and solitaire and some numbers crunching. I was thinking of the Pentiums and 1 gig of ram

Impressed, well, you might want to include a CPU in that list or he wont be too impressed....

im not sure what the comp will be used for, but this is what I have come up...

PSU
Antec NeoHE 500W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103940
this is probably too much...

HDD
Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144701

Floppy
Sony MPF920 Black
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16821103116

CD/DVD Burner
Samsung SH-S183L SATA w/ LightScribe
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151141
you can swap this with a cheaper one if you don't fancy LightScribe

CPU
Intel C2D e6320
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115015

OS
Windows XP Pro w/ SP2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116059

I think you would need a GPU since that mobo don't have an onboard...
that being the case, you could use this:

eVGA GeForce 8600GTS 256MB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130084
this is for future-proofing the computer...

or this eVGA GeForce 7600GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130062

I think the onboard sound should be fine...

total:
$719.94 using 8600GTS (a bit over-budget :P)
$634.94 using 7600GT

EDIT:
oops... forgot the HSF :D:D
Zalman CNPS9500 $47.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118003

with this, the 7600GT will be nicely under your budget...
the price is without shipping and MIR

You don't need a heatsink that good for a business pc, unless your overclocking. The stock fan would be perfect for a non-overclocking enviroment.

You could always buy him a new case in case the old one doesn't fit the parts, and if it fits/cools well on the old one you can RMA for your cash within 30 days :p

Also if you aren't going to be gaming with it then you don't need a 7600GT something like a 7300GS or GT would be fine or maybe even a 6 series.

Thanks Guys for the in put but we're overboard on this one this thing is going to sitting in his office and be turned on maybe twice a week. Can we tone it down a little He would be more impressed if I brought him a decent unit and change :D

Thanx froboy,I'll use some of u'r post ...and thanx to all that helped! I love this place!
