Building a PC, part check

Rather than buying that apevia case buy him the antec 900 case and you forgot the the psu that comes with the cases most of the times sucks or they don't have enough power to supply

Okay then, Vista it is, I want this PC to impress some people. I am gonna keep this on the DL but, I am gonna "demo" this PC to a local biz before I give it to my bro. SHHH!

No, have you even used Vista, yet? I don't think you have, it's not as bad as people make it to be and on a C2D it should be like a walk in the park. I used it on a Pentium D 930 with 1Gb of RAM, no problem. Don't make an ant hill into a mountain, it didn't seem to lag at all, not on games either. This is my friends computer, he has a X1650PRO 512Mb, and CoH seems to run better on Vista.

thats the attitude i like to hear...cuz i plan to get vista

Vista is great, please do not waste your money on installing XP onto a new build. I have seen many people complain about Vista and its incompatibilities, however I run many of these same programs on Vista flawlessly. The build sounds pretty nice, good luck on it.

tell your little bro to look me up on AOEIII, that is unless he uses the warchiefs upgrade packet... username mw1111

Ur processor only has a 533Mhz FSB, you are running IDE, and an X550 GPU, you expect Vista to do its part? I don't mean to rag on it, it's just that Vista wouldn't perform as well as it should on your system.

Ur computer is so close to my friend's spec's but, would you just share with them how Vista runs on it:D

That GS has twice the Memory of the GT but, the GT has a higher core clock...........which one is better?

Hmm...7600GT it is then, for some better performance, I will fork the extra $5(who wouldn't?).
