Building a "Sidearm" Laptop

So, as some of you may have seen, I'm building a gaming desktop that will be used mostly for that, but I'm looking to buy/build a laptop to go along with it that wont really be a gaming computer, just something more portable than my desktop. While I'm fairly familiar with computers, I havent dont any work with laptops before other than use one lol. Would it be better to build one or buy it? I'm wanting it to be able to run some if not most of the games I have, but no where near max settings. Something 2.5ghz or higher, at least dual core. Intel or AMD doesnt matter to me, just matter which is better for this situation. Want at least 4gb of ram, ddr2 or 3.

Well, technically you "can," but you'd have to get "laptop barebones," and there are very few of those floating around. Some of them are fairly expensive. I've only seen 3 on Newegg. I'd go with johnb and say "Buy."
