Hi guys.

I am very quickly trying to put to put together a powerful, yet reasonably priced (under 1200 bucks total...which i am thinking and hoping will be possible, especially with black friday/ cyber monday around the corner) machine.

I am trying to figure out what is a solid Video Card that won't break the bank. Here is what I need it to do. I am planning on editing a lot of videos on this machine. They are all going to be shot for YouTube and most likely uploaded in full HD 1080P format.

Please advise!
Also if you have any other input on specs that you recommend (processor, motherboard etc...) I would love to hear it.

Finally, if you have any experience with Cyber Monday and the online sales from amazon etc that surround Black Friday, could you let me know if I can expect to see things like video cards and processors (computer parts in general) as opposed to whole computers on some serious sales or not.

Thanks a lot!

Change the GPU to a 770 and the CPU and motherboard to a UD3H and 4770K, and change the RAM.

I would get the UD3H now, it comes with a 4 GB G.Skill stick you sell for 35 Bucks.

This will be a great video editing machine.

What programs are you using for video editing? We need to know because some programs will use the hardware different.

Is this strictly for gaming or are you using it for gaming as well?

I plan on using Adobe Premiere Pro.
I DO NOT plan on doing any gaming on the computer.

I just picked up a Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz Socket LGA 1155 Boxed Processor. Is that good enough?
Planning on picking up corsair vengeance 16gb (2x8gb) ddr3 1600mhz. Will that do?
Somebody on another forum recommended the "7970" -- Is this the card in question: SAPPHIRE 21197-00-40G Radeon HD 7970 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card? That thing runs 339 on Newegg.com....is there a better deal for that card else where?
Any good (cheaper, yet good) alternatives to this card out there?

Any good motherboard recommendations that wont break the bank for that setup?

Thanks a lot!

You could have gotten a haswell i7 which is newer, faster, and costs the same. Definitely do not get the 7970. For 339 you can get a 280x which is newer and better.
