I'm planning on getting a new computer. I plan on using it for gaming. I plan on buying each individual part if possible.
Now that i'm done rambling, I'm looking for suggestions on what hardware to put in the computer.

Whats your budget?
What are you going to be mainly doing on the computer?
What country?
and lastly are you open to building your own computer?

Building your own computer is cheaper and you get better warranty.

i'm going to be gaming mostly.
right now i have $669(yeah great number) and i plan on getting a job soon.
i'm in the USA(woot....)
i'm probably going to build it myself.

[right now i'm on a dell xps. its a good a computer and all, but i'm looking for more.
these are its specs as of now, and unfortunately its not able to upgraded.]

Tell me what price you'll pay for it. Maximum.

Can you give us a set price of how much you are wanting to spend? I know that you have $669, but I'm sure you don't want to spend every dime. Also, are you wanting something to max out anything out right now, or are you wanting something that will play most games on medium settings? How long do you want this computer to last you? A year, Two years, Longer?

There's no way he's going to be maxing out anything by spending below $700.

This is the specs I would recommend :

CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 975 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler : Arctic Cooling ACFZ13 36.4 CFM CPU Cooler

Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Ram : G.Skill Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

HDD : Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

GPU : Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB Video Card

PSU : Silverstone 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

Buy all the parts from newegg.

I've went a little bit over your budget with these. All this costs around $720.

If you get a job and earn another $100 then you could get an Intel i5-2500k instead, which is probably the best processor for gaming. You could maybe also upgrade to a 6950.

If you got everything I mentioned then you can max out any game you want.

I'm thinking 1,000 at the most, i'm sure my grandma would throw in a little as long as i pay most of it.

I'm want to play games on high. As of right now i'm playing skyim on the lowest possible setting, and I know it would a whole lot better playing it on high.

I' want the computer to last me longer then only 2 years.
