building computer, 500 dollar budget...

hey guys i want to build a computer. i have a cart made up on newegg of what i want to get but i want to see what you guys suggest instead. id like to listen to music, browse the web, videos, etc... no gaming. though i dont really want the intel onboard video chipset. i heard it wasnt that good. alswo id like some good speakers. no monitor or keyboard or mouse. i was thinking of these speakers and this case, other wise its all you guys. thanks a lot
also id like to overclock. so maybe a thermal controller would be nice. thanks. buy from newegg.com too.:)
 
sorry maroon thats too expensive. i want to include speakers, and the thermal controller in the 500 dollar budget. plus tax and shipping that would be like 600. thanks:o

So $500 with speakers... You do know a thermal controller is justa add-on? It's not really needed.

Do ya like rebates?
 
Yeah thermo controllers aren't needed man. if you want to save that $30 and put it towards a video card it might serve you better that way.
 
Well he said no gaming, so if hes not going to game why spend 100+ bucks on a high powered video card, when a 40 dollar one will yield the same results for what he does.
 
or if he doesn't need a video card ( i dont have one nor do i need one and im fine) why would we have him spend the money on one?
