i have around $1200 to build a computer,is it easy to build a computer or should i pay someone to put it together for me? i think i could put it together but my dad wants to pay someone to put it together.

Building it yourself would be easy and cheaper. Though if you really can't go to a place like www.ibuypower.com or http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

No go str8 to building yourself, heres how it is mang...
1. We're all here to help, usually we can resolve a problem, and even if we cant, call tech help they can resolve issues easily.
2. 1200 is a great budget to make a decent computer, having someone else build it or buy it from, would hinder the utmost performance u could have.
3. The best part, building your first computer=almost idiot proof, well not exactly but its not as hard as it used to be and is pretty simple.
4. Also, building your own comp, gives u the "know how" if anything should go wrong...a little sense of comfort..
Tell dad (or should i say to ask) to help, hell learn too, tell him to get a brew and spend a couple hours together.

my computer right now is a celeron 533mhz and 96 mb ram
and my new computer build is going to have a core 2 duo e6400 and 1024mb ram
is that much better than my one i have now?
