Building my first computer, need a little help :)

As stated in the title this will be my first time building a computer and I am fairly confident that I will be able to get everything together I just want to make sure all of my parts are compatible and I have everything that I will be needing.
First of all, this computer is going to be used mainly for gaming (only wow atm so nothing major) and multitasking, schoolwork here and there (no video editing and light photo editing).
One more thing to add, I am on a budget of around $1,000 so I am fairly limited to what I can upgrade too.

Doesn't really matter which CPU, for mixed use the performance difference between the two is too small to worry about.

The PSU is bigger than needed unless you might add another video card in Crossfire later down the line You could consider the Corsair 550w or 650w if you won't Crossfire.

For the memory I'd chose 1333. The MB doesn't list support for 1600.
I don't think you'll need a soundcard, the onboard audio is fine for 99% of users.

The case has four fans - Should move plenty of air without adding and additional fans.

And you might consider an aftermarket AM3 compatible CPU cooler, though, you'd be OK with the stock cooler if you don't plan on overclocking. If you might OC, it's best to install it during the initial build because you usually have to pull the MB out of the case to place the backplate for the cooler.

That mobo does support DDR3 1600. It's considered as an oc for AMD cpus that support it. 1333 is default.

@OP

I would get the 5770 it's only a few bucks more and it's worth it.
