So first off i'm new here, so hi!

I was hoping you well informed people could help me make sure every thing is compatible with every thing else? Am i missing anything? Is there something on there i should just totally swap with something else thats way better in the same price range?

BFG GeForce GTX 280 Video Card

XFX nForce 750i SLI Extreme Motherboard

OCZ SLI-Ready Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory

NZXT Zero 2 Full-Tower Case with XION Supernova 800w SLI Power Supply

And then a couple other assorted things (hard drive, fans ect.)

thanks in advance for your help!

You would prolly wanna order from newegg, better prices. But whats ur budget? Alot of the parts in there are semi-older, could help you with a refined list with a budget;)

well in the process of saving, but i could prolly go as high as $2000.. would like to stay arould 1000-1500ish though. And i didnt realize newegg was lower so i'll definitely check that out, thanks for the tip

first off, you are awesome.

Second, you are aweome...

anyways, when i made my list as maybe you noticed, i pretty much picked the highest rated in the each category.. guessing that might be the newbie way of doing things, but it seems proven. alot of the parts you listed have a low number of reviews. is this because these parts are newer? or should i just not be depending on the number of reviews...

Reviews arent everything, i7 is somewhat newer, so there will be less reviews. Lets say for example, you have a pentum 4 from 2000 and a core i7 from 2008, of course the p4 will have more reviews but its older tech, same thing happening here. The Q6700 is based off the older 65nm core 2 technology, while i7 is based off the newer 45nm nehalem architecture. Currently, the i7 is the fastest cpu's out there;)(well.. to normal to consumers, there is a 6-core server nehalem chip but its like $2400 just for cpu). If ya need anymore help just post back;)
