Building my own Comptuer - Need help with specs

Hello,

I was just wanting some advice on building a custom computer built for gaming. What specs would I need for the latest, up-to-date gaming computer? What should I look out, and what does everything you write down MEAN? (I am not exactly a computer genius ).

Just another quick question: What does Gigahertz mean, and what does it do?

all so, i was in the same boat as you just a few days ago..ALL of the 1O1 stickys are EXTREMLY helpful, and fairly easy reading, its pretty simplified and very newb friendly, and cover CPU, to power supply and everything inbetween. Reading those will give you an idea what to shoot for...good luck.
