CPU, Motherboard, and RAM compatibility. Nothing after that matters
if your CPU won't work with your board, or you buy the wrong RAM.
You're looking for Socket Type mainly, and DDR2 or DDR3 RAM.
After that I would choose a Graphics card, and a Power Supply
that's adequate to run it.
Then Hard Drive(s), a case, and then an OS if you need one.
