So whats the total? purchasing online or locally?

Im not a big fan of Western Digital, personally I think it is CRAP!

whats crap, the computer or western digital?

purchasing online in an australian store.
Total would be around $1950 US inc. shipping and warranty

He probably doesn't like Western Digital. Although my HDD is WD and it's been good for a long time now. I also have a Maxtor but it's only a few months old if that.

All the important hardware looks to be good in my opinion. everything else is just preference, so no one can really tell you to get 5.1 sound if you're happy with 2.1.

the only thing i have to say is for $1900 USD you can build a much better computer if you order the parts online. have you looked into that yet?

They are online, except in Australia there are limited options and parts are more expensive. And that price includes warranty and shipping

Yah, it looks like a custom built computer to me. Sucks things are so expensive there, but at least you can afford it :)

Yeah, that really gets annoying when you see all of America's stores compared with the price of stuff in Australia's Stores. *cries*

Know anyone in the US (or any other country that has cheaper hardware pricing)? They can order it all for you and then ship it to you. Might be pricey on shipping...but still cheaper than buying it in Aus.? Just make sure they are trust worthy :)

What are the specs on that PSU? Odds are it'll be crap.

Pioneer has a 110 model now and if not then the NEC3540 is generally priced less

Good board but you can do better for that price via MSI/DFI

Gigabyte NX66T128VP GEF6600GT, 128MB, 128bit, PCIEx16, DDRIII8X, TVOUT, VIDEOIN, DVI
DDRIII8X?

Yeah, that really gets annoying when you see all of America's stores compared with the price of stuff in Australia's Stores. *cries*
Heh US stores arent all that cheap :) (goto computer shows ... or Canada)

go australia, i would think about upgrading the graphics card though you must be able to get a good deal from somewhere. im sure that you could get a better computert for that that price if you order online

I was thinking of upgrading my motherboard and graphics card to a GIGABYTE GA-K8NXP-SLI & NX66T-3D1 BUNDLE. I've heard the NX66t-3d1 is good.

btw, with the NX66t-3D1 can you still have another video card in another slot for SLi?

What's a good online Australian computer store? I'm ordering from IT Warehouse. Do you think there are any good PSU's at IT Warehouse?

Which company would have the best 6600gt?
Probably the one with the lowest price. Performance-wise you're not gonna find a world of difference ... the only issue you'll want to avoid is the wobbly-heatsink issue common with 6600GTs since they [the sinks] are attached using only two fasteners rather than four.

Well you would HAVE to get that motherboard if you got that videocard .... so it comes down to whether you want that videocard or not.
