Does your mom need all this performance? A 9200SE should suit fine unless shes a gamer

RAM: OCZ Premier Value Series, Dual Channel Kit 184-Pin 512MB(256MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - Retail

No she doesnt. I havent ever looked for video cards that arent good with games, so i diddnt know what to look for here. I'll look for a 9200E than.
Um.... Ditto?  Is that good or bad?

Ohh I see my bad. How is 512mb alot, I figured 256mb x2 on dual channel will be just enough. Do you think thats more than whats needed? Cuz I thought 512mb of ram is just barely enough, but then again I have never built a basic computer so I dont know... but other than that, do you think the system I spec'd out is good? cuz at 460$ it kinda scares me how cheap I can get this.

Yeah i thought about it, but There's no way what so ever my mom would need/use that. Hey, now that I think about it, I'll give her my CDRW Drive and I'll get the DVD-RW Drive for me! :) Mwahaha lol good idea man! :)

Forget the Dual Chan dude ... hell you should prolly drop the mobo down if gaming isnt an issue. The A7N8X-X or A7V8X-X should be more than sufficient :)

You MIGHT consider a DVD-RW instead. Not THAT much more money.
True but comparing to say a $25 Litey CDRW and that its a fairly tight budget ... and that media is a pain in the arse (expensive and finicky) ... prolyl not the best idea :)
