Not sure if the 64bit is viable yet, the driver support is still pretty poor last i checked.You would get most out of Windows X64, but it also costs more than regular Windows XP.

Holes such as?Yeah, XP 64-bit still has quite a few holes in it... you'd be better off just getting the 32-bit now and upgrading next year when Vista comes out.
