I want basic computer for me but want it to be good for gaming for grandson use.
I am building a desktop using an Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor that I got in a trade. What components would be good with this CPU i.e. power supply, motherboard, graphic card, TV tuner, moden card etc. I have an Antic case with 6 fans, it is 10 years old with a 600 power supply but I think I need a newer power supply. Will be using Window's 7 OS.
 
As stated, what kind of budget are you working with?

A newer PSU is a good idea even just from an efficiency standpoint, a gold unit or similar can easily pay for itself over the life of the PC versus using an older, less efficient unit.
