I built my HTPC for $193 with all new parts without an OS.I got the AMD 5350 for $34.99,the Asus AM1M-A motherboard for $39.98,the case is a Rosewill SRM-01 for $20.81 ,DDR3 1866 1x8gb ram for $40.65 ,Corsair CX430 PSU for $19.99 after rebate,Seagate 500gb hard drive for $20 and $16 for a Memorex DVD burner.Just waiting for all the parts

I'm waiting for them to drop a Zen-comparable board similar to am1.

Decent amount of computing power for the electricity it draws though.

Yup AM1 is a cheap system. Does 1080P video alright. Don't ask it to do 4K video though you won't be too impressed.

Have received all my parts except the hard drive.Assembled the parts that I have and the PC posted.This is only the second computer that I have built .Should get the hard drive one day this week.
