built-in gps?

All right, so I'm thinking about plunking down some serious cash for an Alienware laptop sometime in the future. I really don't want to buy a $5,000 laptop and have it stolen within the month. I'm wondering... is there a way , in the occasion that the laptop is stolen, that I can locate the laptop's position from a different computer? I'll admit right now I haven't done much research into this. Is there some sort of "GPS card" that I could install internally? All the comuter-related GPS things I have found are handheld devices that plug into the USB port, which would be pointless. How about a program I could install that would run in the background and record/send (to a remote computer) the location every time the laptop connects to the internet? Is there some sort of proxy I could set up for these purposes?
