Bunch of programs, one icon?

In XP you drag desktop icons into the unused folder. That uses one icon since that one opens the folder there. An icon is a symbol or image sitting on a desktop shortcut to a single executable file. An icon that works on more then one would have a 99% chance of failure depending what programs were combined to start simultaneously. Forget pc games there. Yet Window Media Player opens with one icon while having many features like ripping cd tracks to the media library. burning audio cds, playing both audio cds and dvd movies alike, and a few other things. But they still start separately.

you might be able to make a batch file, so when you open it, it runs whatever code you entered.

do what omega said.

if you don't know how, open up notepad.

example of what to put:

start D:\receipt.bmp
start D:\s.txt

(don't forget the extensions!)

save it as a batch file by typing what you want the name of the icon to open the programs with to be, followed by .bat

Yuep! That did the trick. Thanks Omega and Beyond! The reason i wanted to know this was so i could just open one icon and run all my adware/spyware/virus scanners without having to sift around threw all my desktop icons. THanks again!
