Burner Software

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent freeware burner program? For some reason my dvd drive wont recognize when I put a blank cd into it and im thinking it could be because i dont have any burner software installed.

That could be ismply from bad media and not a need for some other program. If you got stuck iwth a bad batch of blanks all you will end up doing is tossing them anyways. For a free version of one cd/dvd program there are a few like Deep Burner and BurnOn found at http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/

BurnOn is used frequently here for burning a live Linux distro at times or for burning the live version of GParted to a cd-r. But you can also burn data dvds with the free version as well. It goes on fast and is easy to use. But besides a bad batch of disks you could end up needing a new drive if this doesn't see any results.
