Burner

My DVD burner isnt being recognized by installation software or when I insert a DVD to watch.

It use to.

But stopped.

I've tried inserting a different burner, leaving the other unplugged. I've tried system restoring.


I dont know what to do.

Not sure but I will ask anyway...did you use the same cable when you switched drives? If so then perhaps it is a faulty cable.

Is it recognized? Is it showing up in your Device Manager or is it not there at all.

I think its showing up in device manager.
I mean, there is only one burner and it shows one there.
In 'My Computer' it shows a DVD Drive and a CD Drive.
